OUTREACH PROGRAM of Lee Joon Gi / Lee Jun Ki Philippines at Luwalhati ng Maynila – Home for the Aged.

It is a month long celebration for all Angels since April is the birth month of our beloved Lee Joon Gi. Instead of having a club member’s party, we decided to share it to those who are in need. Admins of the Philippine based Lee Joon Gi / Lee Jun Ki Fans club chose to have our precious moment with the elders residing at Parang, Marikina, a home for the aged, namely LUWALHATI NG MAYNILA.

Earlier at 9:00 A.M. at the said haven of the beautiful elderly people, I got to see the Angels in action. Most of them are repacking and the others are running errands.

It was really wonderful to see that even children were very much willing to participate by helping out on repacking goods for the beneficiaries.

Goods such as some fruits, biscuits, bread, etc. were packed and later be given to our lolo’s and lola’s (grandfathers and grandmothers)

If you look at it closely, on a scorching heat, everyone still have the energy to smile. Technically, everyone is enjoying the hard work.

We have actually produced an estimate of 400+ of packed goods for the people inside Luwalhati ng Maynila – Home for the Aged.

Not just food, we are able to provide them other necessities such as medicines, hygiene products, condiments, bag of rice and even some monoblock chairs and tables!

Just to beat the heat, we manage to push through because of our vitamin JG =D

We can’t celebrate with JG oppa but we are very much happy that we got to share this activity in behalf of him. A HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU OPPA!!

These people were expecting their gifts from us.

When we were putting all posters and standees, the elderly women all shouted “ang gwapo!!” in English, “So handsome.” But as expected, some elderly women thought I am Lee Joon Gi (hahahaha!!) now now.. don’t try to look for my pic guys. I don’t really look like him. Oppa is far more beautiful.

The Angels brought in the presents that we have for the elders. As expected, we put a smile on their faces.

We also introduced ourselves one at a time.

Before we proceed on the program, we explained to them why we are doing this. Why this man, Lee Joon Gi, is involve in this activity. Ms. Katie, our spokesperson made it possible by introducing JG oppa and his charity works for them to understand the goodness of this program.

We also have a surprise guest!!! Sir Jefferson Utanes, the man behind Prince Wang So’s voice when it was dubbed in Filipino. (Prince Wang So is oppa Lee Joon Gi’s role in Scarlet Heart)

Sir Jeff also dubbed Lee Joon Gi’s role on Arang and the Magistrate.

It was absolutely astounding that Sir Jeff came to us, surprising everyone, gave his donation and even performed in front of the happy and beautiful elderly people at Luwalhati ng Maynila.

Of course, the elders have their own performances as well. They danced and serenade everyone. It was very magical!

WE all enjoyed the moment. It felt like time had stopped, and everyone was having a great day. Including me! I got to dance, and sing, and host a game, but it was not documented hahahaha.

When we distributed the goods, the lolo’s and lola’s were hugging us, thanking us nonstop, and wished they could see JG oppa so they can thank him for having brought his Angels here in the Philippines. We were almost in tears since we really wanted to relay their wishes and warm thanks to JG oppa.

The program comes to an end, we awarded some elders who were very much cooperative with the whole flow of the event. The Angels sang as we award them individually.

What’s more fulfilling is that even at the end of the program, the lolo’s and lola’s grabbed our hands, continuously thanking us, hugging us, teary eyed, telling us to come back.

I didn’t get the chance to express how I felt that day. I don’t have a grandmother nor a grandfather to spend time with since they died long time ago. When these wonderful people hugged me, I can’t show them my tears, not because I pity them. I think I am the pitiful one since they are more beautiful, warmhearted, welcoming person than I. They have their sad stories but when the JG Angels decided to push this activity, all we see are happy, thankful people.

Without the help of the Angels here in the Philippines, and the lovable JG Angels across the sea, even the people who won’t mention their names, it would not have been a fruitful celebration.
To the people behind this wonderful program, congratulations to all of us!
We are deeply grateful and thankful to everyone!

 Till next time JG Angels!!!
